Of words like "SO?"

K, 'so' is a good word I use often. While marking SS scripts, because it's just 2 letters to write, I usually write 'SO?'. Haha.

To the person who tagged the board, but I'm not saying your name, BUT it starts with the letter W, the next lines are for you! =p

So I'm gonna start writing now.

So, with that said, I will continue writing.

Oh, I also started a sentence with "K". I mean what the?? There is no such word as "K"!

Just kidding lah, and I know you're kidding too.

But back to the serious point of discussion, I have already told everyone in the whole world (K not everyone everyone, but as many as I can) that it's perfectly ok to type in Singlish, or to speak in Singlish, but you just have to ask yourself is it the right time and place.

I always ask myself this question:
If other subject teachers can speak in broken English, or in Mother Tongue, why can't an English teacher do likewise?

I think people are stuck in their little boxes. =/

Anyway, I'm always very proud to say that if the time comes for me to make a presentation, I can nail it, and if it's time to write bombastic words without sounding pompous, I can do just as well.

But this is a personal blog (not a teaching blog), and if I have to type in proper English with no Singlish words, then this world will be a sad place.

Like OMG DAMN SAD LAH (k that's very gay.)

I actually love languages. I love the English language. I studied the language when I was in NUS.

I love teaching English. I too love teaching SS. When I'm teaching English, I try to be prim and proper. When I'm teaching SS, well you guys know, I try to talk like any Singaporean would talk.

What I find most ridiculous about this is that students think I can't speak Mandarin. -_- Or when I actually speak in Mandarin they just can't believe it!

Oh yay! Another 5minutes of senseless typing! I like it this way.

Back to marking! No wait, shall go facebook and see who to spam. =x
