The Boomz Girl (vulgarities involved. pls self-censor)

Well, vulgarities in the dialogues. But since it's found on youtube, I guess you guys can learn from her mistakes. The hosts are obviously making fun of her but she's just so clueless.

Deepavali Weekend

Happy Deepavali to all.

Been busy marking all this while. All my own fault lah. Individual responsibility: can't take care of my own health. Keep taking MC. Now have to rush marking over this weekend. Marking + dvd. My standard combo.

Grad night was a great success. There were technical hitches as usual.

I gues the highlight of it all was the awesome Michael Jackson tribute performed by the form teachers.

You can check out various versions on youtube.

The performance only starts at around the 2minute mark.

Another perspective with subtitles included haha.

THe part where you see which teacher is donning which costume:

Discovered this song while googling for something else. Refreshing emo female chinese rap? Other than the middle part where she's weeping, it's quite a nice beat to it. Song starts at 1min 22sec to 3min 40sec. The rest too zzz....

What a fun day

Well,

today was a fun day, because students made it fun.

I am supposed to be rushing work now, because as spoken, you will not see me tomorrow. Whoever you see whom you think looks like me, will not be me ok. I will be on course at Teachers' Network.
I have work for all the classes. The next message goes out to my graduating class tomorrow:

Please do the SBQs in class. Treat it seriously. No time to joke! Especially questions on utility and prove/not prove, must practise ah.

Ok now where was I?
Yes, quick update (thankfully I type so damn fast wahahhahaha).
In A class today, I literally fell apart in front of everyone. I laughed so hard everyone got so shocked. Haha. What? Teacher can't laugh meh haha.

So anyway. That's that. Haha I know what you're thinking. "say like never say"... "Might as well don't blog.."

I didn't ask you to read! =p

Ok, back to work. 2.5hours more before school closes. See you all Monday!

Reply of tags

Sup everyone.

Taufiq: Hello. Is that really you hmmmm.

3ric: I didn't mark your paper lah. Extra time extended because I think the referee kelong =x.

Wenhui: You will get back your papers next week, because this Friday I am on course (which is why I took my time to mark the SBQs. I'm done with the SEQs.) Marking Day? Everyday is a marking day lah dey =x I know you meant why no marking day FOR YOU ALL i.e. holiday, but of course not lah. You still have Os to work for, now is not the time to have a holiday =x

Cambassor: Hmm interesting name. I see you are back with a name at least, so I shall reply you. Deleting the tag has got nothing to do with being a man or not lah. And to reply your tag, I where got write till so big? I wrote fever and flu, that's all. I just said I was reluctant to take MC because I wanted a nice record this year. Yeah, chill dude/babe/robot, whatever you are.

SmileBeHappyy :D : All your names like these how I guess -_- But I think I know. I think only. Yeah rock on!! Hippiest teacher no way. Most emo teacher - now that I will win hands down no problem.

Didn't sleep well. Feel like a zombie. Had to stand at the back of the parade square so that people can't really notice me.

There's still oral exams later. I shall try my best!

Fever + Flu

Well, I took MC on Friday.

My new year resolution was not to take a single MC this year, and I was really determined. I am also thankful for all the students who cooperated with me when I was feeling a little unwell and I still went to school at times (Thank you lah~).

But that day I couldn't take it anymore. Doctor also said my throat was infected, and might have fever again. I didn't have fever last night. I guess I am ok, and just needed rest. I thought I could hold up till this long weekend, but I couldn't. Sorry. I also felt that it was terribly unfair that Mr O had to take my SS classes without any warning. I hope you guys were angels =)

Oral Exams
The secondary 3s have had their oral exams. Wah.. some of you guys talk so much on a daily basis, but froze when you sit opposite the teacher. Cannot lah. Gotta be more confident!

On Thursday we all ended at 2pm. So hungry. Apologies to a couple of students, as I was munching on a hamburger (provided by the EL dept) while listening to them read the passage. Hey but I was listening and paying attention to the script ok! I also made sure I finished chewing before I said, "Let's move on to the picture discussion." Haha.

Weekend is here.

On my to-do list:
Watch Inglorious Bastards, a film about the nazis. M18. http://www.gv.com.sg/moviedetails/gv_moviedetails_7948.jsp

Finish marking all the SEQs of my 2 classes. (Don't be over-ambitious. I will never finish marking everything even if I say I want to haha, so let's just aim the SEQs.)

Watch Man Utd win Man City on Sunday 830pm HAHAHA! Man City is much stronger now, but thankfully adebayor is suspended.

Play some psp. Haven't touched it since last Sunday lah. Lemmings levels completed: 129/156
I mentioned that it gets harder and harder right haha.

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Tired

Woohoo oral 2 days in a row man.

Anyway, 2 piles of Prelims in my drawer now. I will mark them over the long weekend I guess.

Dozing off as I'm typing this! Gonna quickly finish up some stuff and home I go!

Lemmings

Playing a new PSP game, Lemmings!

It's been my childhood favourite game on PC, and it's now available on PSP as well. Objective is to guide them from a hatch door back to their home. They only go straight, but you can click on them if you want them to block, dig, climb etc etc.

Blogger's picture function is down, but you can also do a google on it!

67 out of 156 levels completed! Haha!

Elearning

Alright, just for your information,

YOU NEED TO COMPLETE YOUR ELEARNING assignments.

Seriously, the september holidays is a good break for you to relax a little, but please at least finish your homework. If you know you are lagging in some areas, do also spend some time to revise.

I have uploaded 1E/1NA English - just a simple passage with 10 MCQs, as well as 3E/3NA SS - 15 MCQs on Chapter 5: Bonding Singapore.

They are really easy! Do complete them! You only have one try though! =D

During this one week holiday, I intend to:

1) clear my desk.
2) run at least 20k in total.
3) upload national day photos on NE blog. I know. Long overdue. Argh.
4) Watch a movie in a cinema. Any movie.
5) find more psp games.

MOE to step up opportunities for more students to take part in sports
By Rekha Manoharan, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 28 August 2009 2139 hrs

Photos 1 of 1

SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Education will step up opportunities for more students to take part in sports and it has appointed a team to study ways to enhance sports and aesthetics in schools.

To do this, the ministry will provide better career pathways for sports and aesthetic educators.

390 schools have registered for the Sports Education Programme this financial year.

The programme gave out a total of S$2.3 million to 342 schools last year.

The ministry will also aim to provide every school with an indoor sports hall and targets to equip eighty schools with synthetic turf pitches for soccer and hockey.

Eight new Junior Sports Academies will also be set up to encourage excellence and raise the quality of sports training in Primary 5 and 6 pupils.

The academies will include three new sports - soccer, shooting and fencing - on top of its current six - badminton, netball, swimming, table tennis, wushu and track and field.

Education Minister Dr Ng Eng Hen said: "One clear need is to provide better career pathways for sports and aesthetic educators. Greater specialisation of such officers, both in training and deployment will improve the delivery of such programmes in schools. A body of such professionals can also do much in promoting their craft as well as raise standards in schools, as they share best practices and engage with like-minded professionals overseas." - CNA/vm

Teachers' Day Dinner

Theme: BLING BLING

So that's the theme for the dinner. Haven't figured out what I'll be dressed in. Probably something like this:

Nokia e71

Ok, my mind is decided.

Tonight, after NCC, I'll go buy the awesome E71!

I know it's not the newest, and many people already have it, but I've always wanted it, even though I have my reservations about the tiny qwerty pad and my big fingers.

But then, it's cheaper, at $298 compared to the N86. I've never spent more than $300 for a phone, so I don't think I should break my rules.

Most importantly it's super slim and sleek.

Can be easily put in the pockets.

Sometimes people are like
"Huh why you buy the phone? XYZ already has it. You don't copy lah."

I mean, c'mon, only ONE PERSON IN THE WHOLE WORLD CAN BUY THAT PHONE? Grow up lah.

Cool cool. Looking forward to it.

In the words of my student on the tag board, whose name I WILL NOT SAY, "OMG OMG!"

Midnight...

Finally have finished setting all my papers. Sent them to HODs for vetting.

Alone in my little room... listening to perfect 10...

It's 1225am... shall I start (continue) to mark scripts? Or should I go to sleep...

Tomorrow there's an ncc meeting at 230pm. I am so glad that ncc is working its way up. I'm very proud to see the specialists so dedicated. I've learnt a lot from this cca myself.

For ss, I really hope the sec 3s will take the blogging task seriously. For sec 4s, last stretch, let's sprint till the end. I'm open for consultation. You all know I stay till the sun sets. Just give me a call #324.

For el, sec 1s- It's been extremely fun teaching you guys, but sometimes you all really need to pay attention.

I love teaching =D I hate marking though. Haha. I hope I'm making a positive difference to students, be it in academics, or in attitudes and behaviour. Sometimes the students climb all over me. Ah well. Sometimes I totally lose my voice. Sigh. But at the end of the day, I find it very rewarding, that people have learnt something, either in the subject area or one valuable life lesson.

I take heart in a weaker graduating class (totally no offence, just stating the truth based on results) who has put in so much effort. I can see that they are studying now. We have been through so much the past two years. Conflicts, verbal fights, attitudes, problems, nagging sessions, time wasting exercises, quarrels... and the list goes on. But I can see that they are studying now. Sure, sometimes they still chat A LOT A LOT A LOT, but they are studying now. I really hope they give their best. Hope someone from the class reads this and passes it on. Thank you.

I treat all of you equally. I always see myself as a fair teacher. I don't care what background you have. I don't favour anyone, nor do I purposely put down anyone. I see hope in everyone. Do you see hope in yourself? Work hard, yah.

Eh, I'm not used to writing so much. Everyday it's just work, and maybe facebook, maybe psp (for PES I've now transferred to Athletico Madrid woohoo! Newcastle (tyneside sucks!), maybe gym, and then sleep. Oh, now I PLURK too. All the pictures of the national day concert are with me, and I've not even had the time to choose which ones to upload onto the ne blog, www.neomg.blogspot.com. If you read this, do me a favour, please? Go to the ne site and take the survey. Tell your friends to do so too. As you all know, the NE committee (that's me and other teachers) set up the blog, so we want it to work...). I am also the one who ordered the highlighter-pens, and I'm so glad that most of the students like it. Makes me feel very proud that I've chosen a good national day gift. Next year I'll ask for advice. Do help me in choosing the gift for national day 2010!

One time that struck me on saturday night: while setting papers and watching some dvds at around 9+pm, it suddenly dawned on me that football season has started! I totally forgot! Haha. At least I caught the man utd game. 1-0 is good enough. Haha @ liverpool. But it's still early of course.

Teachers' Day dinner is on Monday 31st August. It's somewhere in town. The theme is BLING BLING! I'm looking for some rapper stuff to wear woohoo. Haha. 77th street like a bit too young for me lah. I need some 50CENT kinda dope. Yeah, and I shall talk like this ya'all~

Well. I'm actually feeling kinda down. Blogging is therapeutic afterall. I am thankful for the students I have. They make me look forward to going to school. I love my form class especially. They make me smile a lot.

K, end of emo speech.

What's the message of the speech?
C: NHS has tendency to be emo.
A: NHS
A: readers of nhs' blog
M: NHS is emo.
I: So that nhs will vent out his frustrations and be less emo.

There. Level 5. 5 marks. Top student thank you thank you.

OH!! Must talk about how 3-5 'fell' in love with me today. We were supposed to start blogs and they kept writing stuff about 'nhs is loved' and that kinda stuff. Really funny. =D Thank you er 3-5, but er, must pay more attention kay.

Alright. Shall go get a drink. Then see what I shall do.
Don't have to physically teach much tomorrow. Mostly it's lab and presentations.

You guys will probably read this Tuesday afternoon/night, so you can check back:

a) Mr Ng was damn tired today(tuesday) > means I must have been marking.
b) Mr Ng is normal > means I have gone to sleep after I get my drink.
c) Mr Ng is tired everyday lah hahaha > means er wait! no lah don't say that ley!
d) WHO CARES! (eh then just alt-f4 pls)

W00t I've written so much, my next update will be in 2010 haha. j/k.

Ok ok.

Nights.

Nah. Don't say I NEVER put picture.

Think it's damn cool.

Ladies and gentlemen

Hi.

I've just spent the past few minutes (or was it more than that?!?!?1?!??!) talking to some of my awesome students outside the staff room.

I have the weirdest students.

They talk to the little red star sticker on the door of the prefects' room.

They talk to imaginary friends.

And, get this,

the fire extinguisher outside the staff room is their friend.

Why? Oh Why do I have such students???!? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy *fades out*

Elearning

This morning was a chaotic morning.

People somehow think that I have magical powers, that if they can't log in to eblaze, by just smsing me and telling me that, they can suddenly log in. -_-

So I had to mass sms everyone that I am not superman lah. I don't wear red underwear on the outside lah.

Then the school passed down instructions, so I quickly passed them on, through sms, blog (previous entry), facebook etc. Then everyone was complaining in their FB and blogs -_-''.

Singaporeans really know how to complain.

That's the purpose of elearning mah, to see how fast we can be. So now we know our server is really very weak. Let's see what they do to improve lor.

After that, I signed on to msn,

and immediately I had like 10 windows opening up, blinking in orange.

They all went something like this:

"elearning sucks."
"how to do siah when we cant go in"
"cannot log on"
"do what lidat?"
"mr ng how?"
"sian waste time"

And I entertained all of them. At the same time I was in the 'class window', chatting with my form class. What a bunch of weirdos! J/k.

Talked about shaq vs big show, what music, what 7-11 it's a store and more, and er, other things which THANKFULLY I HAVE FORGOTTEN because can you imagine the amount of brain space I am wasting to remember such nonsense?!!?! =x

Had a good time, but had to go, because I had to mark papers. Aiyah really sian haha.

Still in school. At least it's Friday. Dammit was looking to cross country. Ah well.

zz.

(er I don't know who's that.pic from http://ducts.org/12_04/images/Superman%20Sleeps.jpg)

elearning

Log in timing passed down from school:

Sec 1
10am -11am
1pm - 2pm
4pm-5pm

Sec 2
11am - 12noon
2pm - 3pm
5pm -6pm

Sec 3
12noon -1pm
3pm-4pm
6pm-7pm

spread the word so everyone can 'obey' the timing, and not result in a laggy server.

$$

I bought $35 worth of chocolates yesterday at the booth.
Today I went to buy another $25. I gave away many to my colleagues in the staff rooms. It's happy to know that you can make people happy. Well, I hope they are happy. It's good to have high morale in the staff room. Plus, it's for a good cause right. Service learning project.

Meanwhile......

Hi

Not in the best of moods actually. Bothered by something personal.

Am still in school. Going off soon.

To any of my sec 1 el students reading this, please stay in class tomorrow. No lab to be booked. We'll go to the lab on Monday instead.

Lost 50% of my voice? =/ Have 12hours to recover.

Sometimes I don't understand why students can be so rude and disrespectful.

Today I have a handful of people saying I look 30. OMG! What a compliment lah. Actually I'm 49, as you all already know.

achilles tendons

Specialist at NUH said they are swelling and gave me gel to apply. I wasn't given pills because I am allergic to aspirin and they pills belong to the same 'family' so better play safe and don't eat them.

I will be having physiotherapy soon!

Xray will not detect the problem. There's also no need to take MRI because it costs about S$600. Even if I know whether they are torn or what, still need to go physio.

In other news, my table is now so damn neat. HAHA! Try to take a picture tomorrow.

Hair today gone tomorrow

Well so I finally got a hair cut.

Was back in school on Friday and many of you all commented on my long hair!

I am not gonna type in super singlish!

One student actually made a super kua zhang comment!

She said, "Wah Mr Ng! I thought a lady walked past lor!"

EH PLEASE LOR WAS MY HAIR REALLY THAT LONG!!!?!?!!?!?

Anyway I've gone for a hair cut ok. If nothing goes wrong, I should be back on Thursday, or Friday, or latest next Monday!

Cya!

painful update

Well, for my both achilles tendons, they didn't hurt so much during the June hols. On certain days they didn't hurt at all. So I didn't go see a doctor.

That was wrong and stupid. It's like your roof has a leak, and you don't fix it because it's sunny.

But when it rains? Ho ho ho.

So on Thursday it started to hurt, and yesterday it hurt so much in the afternoon, I forced myself to go to NUH a&e to have a referral. I'm now hoping to get an MRI scan next week, and see what physiotherapy I will be given.

Sometimes it's as if there's no pain, but sometimes it's just argh argh argh!

IN AYG news,
you can go to the website www.ayg2009.com for the latest updates and LIVE STREAMING of games.

Happy youth day everyone. =D

AYG

So busy and tiring these past few days!

Trying to get the school to update the AYG blog on the eblaze website with our daily pictures and mini write ups.

Just posting a couple of pics:

Edit: Problem posting pics whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Important updates

1. As of now, school is reopening same time, same day, Monday 29th June 2009.

2. Everyone please complete your elearning exercises! Those exercises whereby you just have to keep doing till you get 100%, please go try and try again! Don't be satisfied with a 50% or 70%!

3. If you just returned from the following countries, please exercise citizenship responsibility by staying home for 7 days:
USA, Mexico, Canada, Chile, UK, Australia, Argentina, Japan, Thailand,
Spain, Philippines, Panama, Dominican Republic, Hong Kong SAR and Indonesia.

On a personal note,
I'll be welcoming my AYG chef-de-mission tomorrow evening at Changi Airport Terminal 1. Gonna be a busy, busy period till the end of AYG. I hope to take lots photos of this event!

AYG Update

So today I went for the final briefing, and I've gotten my security pass, and polo tshirts!
Pictures will be up when I'm less lazy. Haha!

Friday, June 12, 2009

50% gone?

There goes half the June hols.

If it's not freaking you out, it's freaking ME out.

Past 2 weeks have flown by so quickly.

Holiday lessons, AYG briefing etc. For this week, Mon-wed was spent at AES having an NE non-residential camp with 6 students.

I haven't even gotten into the groove to clear my own work!
Friday morning and back at school, clearing emails. My check list seems to have more and more items everyday, argh!

Next Monday afternoon, ncc shift duty at pasir laba camp. Next week is probably the last week I'll have as a break. Come week 4 of June, I'll be busy with AYG again. At least it's exciting!! Unfortunately because of this AYG commitment, I had to pull out of the Brunei jungle course for NCC. Thankfully the district commander was very understanding. Course was supposed to be from 15-25june. Can you imagine if I were to go! I'd have 3 days left to clear my stuff, as the whole holidays will be gone!

Haha!

Hope all of you are enjoying the break! Like I said, I've not done a single thing because of my DAY time schedule, and at night I totally switch off, refusing to do a single thing.

Anyone went to the PC show? Any good buys?

Sunday, June 7, 2009

Question:

What do all these pictures and Mister Ng have in common?

That's right!!
They all eat grass!!!

That is what Mister Ng will eat for the next couple of days, as he's trying to save up! (For nothing in particular. Just wanna make my bank more meaty!)

Great Singapore Sale too... maybe I shouldn't step out of the house hahaaaaaaaa. -_-

Share with me, what have you bought so far?

(Disclaimer: This entry is by no means trying to persuade students to spend their (or their parents') hard-earned savings on materialistic goods.)

Saving is a virtue! Start today!

Plus, grass is really tasty! Ask my students, I tell them to eat grass all the time!

Recently, Mr Ng has been eating grass and saving money, just so he could afford this!

Small small size of 1 litre, big big cost of $5+!
(totally ungrammatical =x please don't follow hahahaha)

Really very nice! But Mr Ng will probably not buy it again. Too expensive!

Can be found in West Mall's shop and save.

Looks scary. =x

Saturday

Past few days have been pretty hectic.

Parent-teacher conferences, talking to my class after car washes. Spending more than 12 hours in school, returning home so late at night.

Could hardly catch my breath!

Next message is for NCC cadets:

Recently it seems to me that some of my ncc cadets feel that I'm less involved with NCC, or worse, that I've left them for dead!

This is not true! I am still of course very passionate about NCC. However, I've come to realise that I cannot be everywhere at anytime. For example, during the sports carnival, I was not the ncc teacher in-charge on duty that day, so I can't overrule any of your instructions. What I can do is just to ask around and check that you are all alright. On that day, I had my own duties, being part of the AYG/YOG main committee.

Rest assured I'll be back next term. =D Oh wait, June spec course too. =D

Next message is for my super awesome kickass class of 3-2:
Thank you all.
I have been humbled.
You all have taught me the meaning of love for your friends.
AND I DON'T MEAN THAT OTHER KIND LAH OK!
Really, thank you all for being around. I'm truly blessed with a class like this.
Not gonna mention any names, but you know who you are.

=)

Things floating in my mind

After 12 hours in the school,

here are the things on my mind, in no particular order:

Man U - argh! Why? Anyway I didn't watch it. I woke up and fell asleep. Read that Barca totally outran the midfield. They are that good, so it's no shame.

Parent-teacher conference - So tiring, but glad to have met them.

My own class - What can I say, I just love them more and more! =D

Again,
I love my job. =D

What time is it?

It's not Tiger time!

Wah new record! 740pm on a non-camping day! Still in school woohoo!

Time to go home and relax and wait for champions league final!

Monday, May 25, 2009

Just 4 more days

Till the end of Term 2.

Sorry earthlings, been really spaced out after the sports carnival, hence a lack of action here.

Today we had a level meeting to decide which students whose parents we must meet up (due to poor results), and which students are selected for achievers' tea, which will be held in term 3.

Today I also learnt a lesson the hard and painful way,
which is to not take anything for granted.

Ah well.

Tomorrow I'll be following some sec 1s to the Singapore River.
Hardly in the mood for anything now. Shall just check some emails and log off.

Ciao.

See you at CCAB!

Sports carnival tomorrow!

See you all at CCAB!

This next message goes out ESPECIALLY to my beloved class:

I'll see ALL OF YOU at 730am! Don't disappoint me! I'll be looking forward to seeing your faces and taking your attendance. =D

-mr ng

Remember to drink lots of water tomorrow. You might want to apply some sunblock too.

Have fun!

Oh no.

My right leg looks worse than this.

Argh. Now I'm really afraid. Time to see a doc.

Stop killing yourself, Mr Ng

Argh.

Question of the day: A person's right achilles tendon is totally swollen, and hurts.

What does he do?

Answer: Go play basketball.

Argh.

Now it totally hurts even more. I need to rest so I can take part in the Olympics Games day on Thursday! Win points for Tenacity! Win points for my class! Yeah!

Stop killing yourself, Mr Ng.

If you have read this and you see me in school, can you please tell me that. Thank you.
(Please don't say that in front of other teachers though. They will be like ?!?@#!?

Couple kisses passionately

To read more about it, as well as see a related video, click the link below.

What do you guys think about it?

Is the photographer 'kaypoh', as in, poking his/her nose into other people's affairs, or is it good that he/she is 'publicly shaming' this couple.

Is this couple behaving appropriately? Is there anything wrong? What are your thoughts on PDA - Public Display of Affection?

Use the 'comments' tab at the end of this post to share your thoughts. =D

Done.

At a little after 1pm, I finally finished all my marking.

I will still have to look through the sec 4 scripts again to see where I can squeeze out a couple more marks for students.

On monday I need to give a 1-2minute reflection kinda presentation to all staff about Public Service Week.

Hmm. Wonder what I should talk about...

The past hours

Greetings Earthlings.

There is a story about this teacher, who has no life. Let's find out what he's been up to the past few days since the exams started.

Step 1: Marking.
Step 2: Eating.
Step 3: Sleeping.
Step 4: Shitting.
Step 5: Repeat step 1.

Oops sorry that was a bit crude. =p

Anyway, this teacher is very proud to say that he has ALMOST finished all his marking for the mid year exams! He will aim to finish before the day starts tomorrow.
Tomorrow is marking day for teachers. He hopes to go back to school to slack and do his own things while other teachers are still marking. (not laughing at them. Each has own style.)

The past day:

Went home late. Dozed off at 1230am, woke at 230am. Marked all the way till 630am before leaving for school. Watched Man utd come from behind to beat Wigan 2-1.

Morning: Invigilation till 9am. Back to office. Short nap. 945am YOG meeting. Around 11am started marking again. Kept dozing off. Marked more. Around 2pm....

WENT KTV!

Haha. Crazy.

Back at home again.

Btw I've marked all my SS students' scripts. Ok lah. Sec 4s should be doing much better lor I feel.
Sec 3 Express: -_- Gave me only one factor for SEQ. What is this man. Don't be tricked by the question.
Sec 3 NA: Not bad =p

Kk... less blogging, more marking.

Will share some SUPER HILARIOUS Letters (sec 1 letter writing) next time hahaha!

Awesome movie.
And that's the most exciting thing I've done in awhile!

Both my achilles tendons hurts after I play soccer / go for a run.
Argh. Is it time to really go see a chinese doc? Or physio?

Meanwhile, everyone take care of themselves. Staying home is the safest.

If I don't post again,

Liverpool 4-4 Arsenal

Best result a Man United fan could have asked for.

Although I must say Arsenal is really bad at keeping a lead, having led 3 times in the game, at 1-0, 3-2, 4-3! They scored at the 90th minute! Only to concede at the 92nd minute! ARgh!

Anyway Arshavin's finishing, wow. Top class. After 90 minutes and a hat trick, he still had the desire and pace to match Walcott's breakaway, totally left Arbeloa for dead, and his sweetly struck shot with his left foot - no chance for Reina!

Anyway, to conclude,

Wonderful result!
Haha at all the Liverpool fans for dropping 2 points!
Haha at Arsenal for almost winning the game but didn't!

Sigh

I don't feel so well. Ran a light fever in the morning. Thankfully it's a 'test' day, as most of my classes are doing work, which means I talk less.

Things which I want them to end, don't end.
Things which I want them to start don't start.

What is this man.

Released May 1993. One of the definitive songs of my Primary/ Secondary school days.
I like people who appreciate 优客李林.

I actually love the ENGLISH version as well.

IFD

Well International Friendship Day is in about another hour or so.

17 April 2009 =D

Remember to support the bazaar at the canteen!

The assemblies are finally over. Another thing off my chest. So happy and relieved the assemblies went by without many hiccups.

Was so happy today that it was over. After the assembly had a quick reflection with the teachers on what went well, what went wrong etc etc, and then I went back to the office to settle emails and outstanding stuff.

At 4.30pm I went to play basketball with the Sec 3 bballers.

Played till 630pm.

Super tired lah!!!!!

Very fun. Really fun. I didn't really shoot much because I need to warm up. As you all know my wrists are kinda 'spoilt' so I need some time to get the 'feel' of the ball and strength estimation every time I play bball. Ah well, I was happy grabbing all the rebounds. =D

Damn fun lah! Can't wait to do it again!

IFD Lower Assembly

Sigh.

At comp lab 2 now looking at the sec 3s rehearse for this Thursday's assembly programme.

So tired.

The assembly went quite well. Some glitches. But ah well. Everyone really put in a lot of effort into this. Good job everyone! Students, teachers!

IFD

This week's assembly programme,

we'll be commemorating International Friendship Day (17 April). Riding on the YOG wave, we'll showcase 3 classes each at each respective assembly.

Will be on stage! Do continue to give me your fullest attention! =D

Today at SS

At my beloved form class:

When discussing about one of the principles of governance "Work for reward, reward for work", I tried to elicit what kinda society we are in.

Mr Ng: Yes! Work for reward, reward for work! Singapore is a what type of society? Starts with the letter... *interrupted*

Student: Pet society!!!!

Mr Ng: Obviously some of you facebook too much......................

For the record, it's meritocratic society lah!
Singapore is based on meritocracy.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Family celebrated my birthday earlier. Bought this fruity cake from polar puffs. My mum sang the song and I could see she was controlling her emotions. =/
Well,
27 years ago on a fateful morning on 11th April 1982 (easter sunday), I was born at the old KK hospital.
Been a bumpy ride. Wouldn't say that I really enjoyed my childhood, but I grew up healthy, and I'm safe now, and in that I should be thankful.
It's a new chapter. I'm gonna work so hard.
Argh 27 feels so old! Where did all the years go?!?!

Just another day

Thanks for the well-wishes through the blog, facebook and smses. =)

It's time to go for a run.

Just another day~

Nephew's big day

My nephew turned 1 year old!

The gathering was very boring though. All my brother's friends (as well my sister-in-law's friends) brought their kids along so it was like a function room full of many kids running around, chasing after balloons, shaking toys that made a lot of noise, wearing shoes which made squeeky sounds etc etc. And every single adult there was talking about children - the latest diapers on offer and stuff like that.

I did try to occupy myself by playing with whatever kids that roamed my way.

Kids are such miracles aren't they? =)

25 more hours

to my birthday!

On a serious note,

to the people who are constantly chatting on my tagboard, please stop.

"Shoutbox limit of 60 posts per hour reached."

Please know the limits lah. I don't mind a couple of tags, but if you're using it to chat, it becomes very inconvenient for me to read other people's tags and so on. I hope you understand. =)

I'm finally home after a long day!

YOG meeting at Republic Poly.
NCC 57th Officer Cadet Parade.

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

A little past 3am.

Woo I happen to wake just in time for champions league football: Man Utd vs Porto.

Chances are I'll probably fall asleep before full time.

Been another busy, hectic few days. Rest assured that I've read ALL the tags (including the very childish spreading of rumours), but I'll now choose to reply selectively.

Yesterday (as in Tuesday, because it's now Wednesday morning) I did have a presentation for the Key Personnel (P, VPs, HODs in the school). I presented on NE and we had a Q & A. In total it was about 25minutes. It went pretty smoothly. P and VPs asked some questions but I thought I handled them very well. =D

After that I went to the YOG lunchtime programme.

I have to say SORRY to my beloved class of 3-2 because I promised them I'd do up the script (which in the first place should be done up by you guys in the first place! But nevertheless I promised and I didn't deliver, so it's my fault), but I was so caught up with things and it was another mad rushing day so I really didn't have the time. Good job Sufiyan, Rozita on the presentation and Nadia on the clicking~! =D And many thanks to the people of 3-2 who came down to support your classmates. You know who you are. =)

3-6 you all were very noisy lah. =/ It's good you all came down to support, but you guys were noisy even when your own class was presenting. That's not cool man.

3-3 nice to see you all. Mongolia is not Magnolia!

3-4 wah so pro come and check out the competition today when you guys are not presenting!

Busy busy week. Can't wait for the long weekend!

3 more days to my birthday. Gosh getting old.

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

My world collapsed.

Ok no maybe it's not that bad.

But moody.

I promise myself to not be moody in class. =)

I'll work hard!

4 days to my birthday!

Awards Day

Well, it's over!

Good job everyone in the parade! I'm proud of all of you, holding well, standing smart. =D

The ceremony in the hall:
Thanks everyone for cheering and clapping when my name was announced. Appreciate it. =)
I shook the P's hand and she said "Wow you're really popular!"

A popular teacher might not be a good teacher, but still, it never hurts to be popular. I rather be popular than be hated, or be unknown. Then again, I'm not saying that I AM popular. I just have certain groups of awesome students. =) I will improve to be a better teacher.

NCC:
Possibly the swan song of the Sec 4s and 5s. The EMO in me has not been activated yet, but I'll definitely feel it when the weeks pass.

Just now, some of them came over and asked me if I know what's happening next Saturday. I said nothing. They said it's the 11th April! I said yah my birthday! Wow they actually remember! Eh hello can you all go and remember more important things! My birthdate is not tested in the N and O levels ok!

I'm touched. =) I love teaching.

Why so serious?

Latest addition to my work desk. It's a little too big =/ so I'm trying to think of how to fit it in. Right now it's on the floor directly behind me (It's covering the cupboard behind my seat.)

The Dark Knight was a great movie alright.

Of being on course and Awards Day

Very busy, so just a quick update.

1. Will be on a full day course in Unity Sec tomorrow, so I wouldn't be in school the whole day. Relief teachers will be going in with work for you all to do. Kindly finish them and hand in within that period. Don't give them any trouble!

2. Next Awards Day rehearsal is Wednesday 330pm. Half-U.
There is a change in the marching off.
GOH will now march pass, followed by supporting contingents. ALL OF YOU will then march back to your original positions, hentak-kaki together and then stop in tune with the band percussion. Everyone will face the front again and remain still.

After the VIP takes his leave, the RSM will keluar-baris the parade.

We'll practise this on Wednesday.

Nasir: Yes yes can you go publicise who wants to go as well.
Eric: Thanks.
Ahjie: Yah, but I think most of the CULPRITS are from NCC. =/

Weekend!

End of Term 2 Week 1!

Yesterday:

Simple day. The Secondary One students applauded when they saw me. -_- Why? Specs? Or 'cos they hardly see me in jeans? Anyway thanks! Haha.

Awards Day Rehearsal:
Thanks to all Uniformed groups. Basically the feedback gathered from teachers is that
- GOH not garang-looking enough; tilt weapon not at same angle
- everyone marching not smart enough
- supporting contingent head tilt right not synchronised
- some people were smiling when marching

We'll improve on these aspects. =D
Hope everyone is resting well. What a hot day!
Next Full-dressed rehearsal is on Monday 3.30pm.

Rifle PT:
After that we did a simple and what-I-think-is-a fun version of rifle PT! The teachers even did push ups with all cadets!
And some of the cadets really SABO LOR (correct noun: saboteur), recover also RECOVER SO SLOWLY, so I had to say push up position down and recover and push up position down again, and I also 'suffer' together. Woo! Fun fun!

I HOPE ALL YOUR ARM AND CHEST AND SHOULDER MUSCLES ARE SORE AS THEY SHOULD BE!!!! =p

Next time we'll carry the rifle and run 2.4km. It's gonna be fun, really! =D

Today:
Attending another friend's wedding this evening. Hmm. Lots of ang baos to give away!

Tired. Maybe I'll go take a nap.

Reply of tags!

Yilin: Wo hao. Ni hao ma. =)

静 : Hi you are the 'guest'? Sorry I'm not sure whose chinese name has 静 in it or if it means anything else, so I still don't know who you are =s Anyway, 真成熟的reply。慢慢等的意思是指那位女生未必 ready for a relationship lor, so 你就慢慢等lor. My pain in the heel goes on and off. Really thanks for your concern. =)

Eric: Aiyah you shuddap lah I know you very pro lah! =p

-------
But I AM happy. =D

Latest update:

HQ NCC will be sending a delegation for jungle training in Brunei.
The selected delegation will comprise of 2 NCC Teacher-Officers and 10 Cadet
Officers/Cadets (Part C and above) to participate in the Jungle Training with
Kadet Tentera Brunei in Brunei from 15 to 25 Jun 09.

I AM GONNA APPLY FOR THIS!

Everyone wish me luck! I 'heard' that in the past not many teachers would want to go, but nonetheless, I am very confident of getting the spot regardless of the number of teacher officers applying. Yeah yeah! =D

Awards Day Rehearsal

Attention all Uniformed Groups,

The full-dress rehearsal is from 330pm-430pm tomorrow.

Pending confirmation, there should be another rehearsal on Monday as well as next Wednesday. The actual Awards Day is on next Friday, 3rd April.

I did not decide on this. Information is just passed down from the top.

We'll work hard and make this a huge success. =)

Reply of tags

Been a super busy day!!!!

It's actually not my ankle, but the back of it, i.e. the heel. Sucks.

10mins till my next class. Faster reply some tags.

Shirley: Haha yah correct I like your motto lah!!! Perhaps I should make one and paste BIG BIG on my table (sentence is ungrammatical) too!

Chrismeen: Thanks! I was just moving it. In the morning it's especially painful. =(

Eric: That Jason called me, but my heel hurt + lazy to go down. If they were outside my staff room I would have gone out.

Guest: Hello. 你好。 下次留个名好吗?笔名也好。Well, 幸福靠缘分, 但也要靠自己去争取的。

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Happy. 开心。

I had a wonderful day on Tuesday.

I'm trying to be a happier person this term.

HOWEVER, these few days, my right ankle has been hurting and I'm in physical pain and it might show on my face, especially if I'm climbing stairs. That's a legitimate excuse. Don't ask why I look so angry/sad/emo.

Destiny. Do you believe in it?

韦礼安 - 慢慢等

One of my favourite Mandarin songs at the moment:

韦礼安 - 慢慢等

For that mysterious (non-existant?) lady, who will probably not see this.

Meaningful.

Updates

OMG It's WEDNESDAY ALREADY AND I HAVE NOT DONE A SINGLE THING!

Fri-Sunday: NCC Camp
Sunday: Slack.
Monday: Went to school, not very productive, left in the afternoon. Slack.
Tuesday: Slack. 5pm Went Wheelock place Nokia Care centre to repair phone. Found out warantee expired? 老天你在玩我吗?Spent hours at Borders. Went home at 10pm.

Wednesday:
Back at my desk again. Brought my CD pouch. Do you guys even know what's a CD pouch. -_-''

Listening to boybands of the 90s HAHHAHAHA.

Currently listening to the CD of 98 Degrees.

Setting EL mid-year paper. Ok lah. Pretty moderate standard, with a couple of difficult questions to differentiate the better ones from the rest.

VERY distracted though. =/

I think back to a moment when time seemingly stopped... and like a film that is stuck in a rewind and playback mode.... argh. Like a dream... she was so close... What am I talking about?!

Nvm, I'm currently with my greatest love - the school.

Today's an interesting date. Actually for all the dates I remember, there are many interesting dates. But today's date makes me reflect more than usual.

Past days of my life

Hi fellow human BEANS.

Here's a quick update of my very exciting life. -_-

Been very busy / tired, and not even been online much.

So here's what I want to say in no particular order.

NCC
1) NCC camp rocks my socks. Camera in school. I'll upload pics and the guniang videos tomorrow. HAHAH OMG! Damn funny lah!

2) I thought I saw something move at 345am on Friday night at my office.. But I think it's just 'cos I'm tired. =/

3) This year's Part A is very enthusiastic. Part Bs have come a long way and have matured. Part Cs - you can see the leadership waiting to be unleashed. Part Ds: Always so awesome as usual. Will miss you all so much (NO Don'T EMO).

School
1) Panel meeting: Will people change? It's just a simple conclusion:
Next year in February, I'll be still living my own life, doing things which make me happy. You will be collecting results. What mood do you want to be in? How do you want to feel about your life? Sure, you can blame your friends, blame your teachers. For how long? Wake up.

2) There's much stuff to do during this holiday. Yup. Students don't think it's a holiday, with all that homework etc. Teachers too, have their own stuff to do, but at least they can wake up later and rest their throats. Hmm, let's see what I have to do...

  • set English language Mid year paper
  • set Social Studies Mid year paper
  • Clear my desk (which incidentally in 2-3weeks' time IT WILL BE THE COOLEST DESK IN THE WHOLE WORLD. Will update in due time.)
  • catch up with my filing system (which has been a weak link, but admitting it is a start, and trying to improve is the 2nd step)
  • clear emails. It's now 75% full.
  • Improve and design teaching packages
  • Prepare and refine lesson plans for Term 2

Personal

Some of my friends tell me they express shock and disdain that I share my personal life on a blog with my students. I mean, c'mon, I don't really share anything too private. They're just general stuff, really, so don't worry my dear friends! =)

1) I've been really happy. =) People tend to see me as this over-serious person as my facade, but perhaps they don't know me well. I tend to be too nice to students though, and if you are a student and reading this now, do note that I'll be coming down harder on you from the following term onwards. It's for OUR own good, really. =)

2) For some reason, I'm starting to listen to 933 again. But 98.7fm remains my kick-ass favourite. One of the moments I enjoyed during the NCC camp was to sing pop songs on the bus. "YOU CAN HAVE WHATEVER YOU LIKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE".

Gosh. Good times.

----------------

Gotta go out and send my phone for repair. I know, I wrote this few days back, but then I realised the shop was closing so I didn't go. Now I will.

Ciao.

OH ONE LAST THING:
Please behave yourself on the tag board. I don't tolerate spamming, writing anonymously or impersonating others. It has been great so far and I fully appreciate you readers' maturity. Just another friendlyyyyy reminder from me.

Greetings from the OFFICE

Hola!

I'm now typing this in my office!

NCC, NPCC, Life Science Club are taking over the school right now!

Shall go sleep soon. Have to wake at 6am. =x

I deserve it.

A sprained left ankle, that's what.

In my earliest post, I stated that I was not feeling very well. For today's NCC, I just wanted to be around and chit chat. However, some students dropped by and offered to play soccer together. I couldn't resist. =/

I didn't even push myself. Suddenly, the ankle just sprained. Argh.

Trust my wolverine-sque recovery skills and get well in 2 days. It's an old injury.

Weak

Feeling weak. =/

Must recover before NCC camp.

Saucony run

Thinking of signing up for the 10k or 15k run.

Excited! Will have something to look forward to.

Feedback

I'm sure most of you have been doing surveys for teachers. Like how they are teaching etc etc...

Today, I've given a class the survey forms.

One of the things a person wrote on how I can improve is.....

"less emo".

HAHAHHAHA!

OK OK point noted.

The curious case of November Golf

Hi readers! Welcome to the first edition of the latest blog-buster hit:

The curious case of November Golf.

In this story, our protagonist, by the name of November Golf, will live his life with choices from you, the reader!

That's why, every week there will be a new story, and at the end of every juncture, there will be a poll on what our hero must do. The option with the most number of votes naturally dictates the story must continue in that way! Readers will be given a few days to vote. Author will continue the story once the deadline of poll is up, or if sufficient votes have been garnered.

(Author: Oh gosh I'm so bored I can't believe I'm typing this.)

So let's on down with this week's story!

Disclaimer: This is total fiction. Any resemblance to any read characters is totally coincidental.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 1: Genesis

This is the curious story of November Golf.

His surname is Golf because this was a moniker his father earned when he used to be a caddie for one of the best golfers in the region. His father did not actually know how to play golf, but he was an excellent caddie alright. Golf Senior passed away when November was only 5 years old. November did not even know who his mother was. He never saw her. Or rather, she never saw him. Or rather, nobody saw nobody. November was found in a little baby cot outside Golf Senior's home late one night, many many years ago. Golf senior never found out who November's parents were.

His name was November, because as simple as it sounded, Golf Senior found the baby in the month of November. It wasn't a dark and stormy night like what they always show in the movies. It was a still, windless night, along the ghetto streets, but it was a strange ghetto street because there were no dogs barking, no fights, no nothing.

It was just the presence of a little baby.

And hence November Golf was born.

November Golf grew up to be a fine man.

He was highly driven and motivated, and did well in his studies. He went into the best schools, and as he graduated with honours, he was now contemplating to himself:

Hmm. What kinda job should I get myself?

[Readers, YOU DECIDE!]

Vote at the left column.

Conflict

Today I got into a terrible conflict with a student.

=/

Upon reflection, I told him that it was partially my fault.

Then again, what do you expect a teacher to do, get trampled all over?

I hate such days. I'm glad we had a good talk, and hopefully both of us have grown into better people from this experience.

Tonight is the night of no sleep. Lots of stuff to mark. Haha. Only myself to blame of course.

Of words like "SO?"

K, 'so' is a good word I use often. While marking SS scripts, because it's just 2 letters to write, I usually write 'SO?'. Haha.

To the person who tagged the board, but I'm not saying your name, BUT it starts with the letter W, the next lines are for you! =p

So I'm gonna start writing now.

So, with that said, I will continue writing.

Oh, I also started a sentence with "K". I mean what the?? There is no such word as "K"!

Just kidding lah, and I know you're kidding too.

But back to the serious point of discussion, I have already told everyone in the whole world (K not everyone everyone, but as many as I can) that it's perfectly ok to type in Singlish, or to speak in Singlish, but you just have to ask yourself is it the right time and place.

I always ask myself this question:
If other subject teachers can speak in broken English, or in Mother Tongue, why can't an English teacher do likewise?

I think people are stuck in their little boxes. =/

Anyway, I'm always very proud to say that if the time comes for me to make a presentation, I can nail it, and if it's time to write bombastic words without sounding pompous, I can do just as well.

But this is a personal blog (not a teaching blog), and if I have to type in proper English with no Singlish words, then this world will be a sad place.

Like OMG DAMN SAD LAH (k that's very gay.)

I actually love languages. I love the English language. I studied the language when I was in NUS.

I love teaching English. I too love teaching SS. When I'm teaching English, I try to be prim and proper. When I'm teaching SS, well you guys know, I try to talk like any Singaporean would talk.

What I find most ridiculous about this is that students think I can't speak Mandarin. -_- Or when I actually speak in Mandarin they just can't believe it!

Oh yay! Another 5minutes of senseless typing! I like it this way.

Back to marking! No wait, shall go facebook and see who to spam. =x

It's allll so quiet.....sshhh.....ssshhh...

The day started off horribly because I saw many students carrying big bags and many teachers in jeans/track pants/shorts with 'suitcases' preparing to go on holiday. =x

I wanna go to the camp too. =/

BUT! I'm in school because my students are in school too and they want to learn and I want to teach.

Ok, self-condolences at its best.

For CME, we went to comp lab 1 to take the quiz. Wah, some of the questions were so tricky, and definitely questionable as in I'm not sure if the answers given were correct afterall! Worth debating. The class had a WILD TIME POINTING THAT BLUE LITTLE DEVICE lor.

Later on had SS remedial. And back to marking. Nobody's around... Will be worse tomorrow! Half the school will be empty...

If the title strikes you, it means you must be a BJORK fan!

Check it out.

Personally it's an irritating song, but it was famous for awhile. In the mid 90s.

First day of March 2009

Well March 2009 is here, which means, we'll never ever see January and February 2009 ever again.

This is an interesting month. I feel excited about what's gonna hit me, and what my life will be.

I particularly look forward to:

Thursday 5th March - because by then, I'd ( I MUST) have finished all the marking of assignments and keyed in all the marks so that they're ready for report books.

13-15 March - because it's NCC camp and 1) I love NCC, 2) I really love camps. Two more weeks!

Random NCC soccer matches with other secondary schools' NCC units on random dates - because I'm gonna make sure they allow teacher officers to play as well. (C'mon man, I'm not just gonna take a bus there to cheer them on. I want some action!)

Speaking of NCC,
the first awards day rehearsals went pretty well. It was just a familiarisation test for the procedures. Well done NCC, as well as Red Cross, Scouts, Girl Guides! Apologies NPCC as you guys were not informed (must have been a communication breakdown) of the rehearsal.

In March, there is also a burning issue which desperately need my attention, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

1) My nokia 6120 phone which is spoilt. I STILL HAVEN'T SENT IT FOR REPAIR!

Next, there is also a very important thing I must do in March. I promised my popo (paternal grandmother) to visit her during my March holidays, and I must honour my promise. She is 85 years old and lives in Outram.

One term is coming to an end! If you're a graduating student, you better be thinking of the Os / Ns.

Rainy afternoon. =/

New perspectives

Actually, it's pretty cool.

I can wake up whenever I want. I can watch football if I want. I can go play football whenever I want. I can go wherever I want. I can stay in school for as long as I want.

That part of me left yesterday.
The heart of me is strong today.

And for today, I can and I will spend the whole day marking my scripts 'cos I'm pretty lagging there.

Sunday morning I'll be off to football again. I so look forward to it! I just hope the sun has some mercy; I don't want to be any darker!

Just woke up actually. Haha. Shall go get lunch.

Here it is...

Ok I've had enough speculation and nonsensical KAYPOHNESS of students pestering me.

So I shall say it here. This is also a basic test of your inference knowledge.

Once upon a time, there's someone called Miss Confidential.

Well, don't ever mention that again. =)

Cie la Vie!

Boys like Girls

I feel like a hero and

you are my heroine.

I really like this line. Nice lyrics.

Rainbow

Well yesterday when I was going home I walked down the stairs and was going to my car when everyone said there was a rainbow. I ran back up to office to grab my lousy camera. Camera is now in the car. So I'll upload my versions later, which compared to the one above, is nothing impressive.

Meanwhile, enjoy this wonderfully beautiful picture taken by another teacher (name on the picture itself)! He sent it to all staff. I'm sure he doesn't mind the photo being used since he put his name on the pic itself, so do give him credit!
Pictures can tell a thousand words. But just being there; standing there seeing such a clear rainbow - wow. Life is worthwhile.

Marking

Today a student came and asked if we'd be getting back our tests soon. I told her I haven't finished marking. She said I must mark faster because they want to study hard and want to look at their mistakes/results. I looked at her face, and I felt so guilty.

This has been a terrible term. Boss told me that the more stressed you are, the more you don't feel like doing work, i.e. procrastinating. And that is what I've been doing.

Week 8 already. I'll definitely finish all the markings I owe the world by the end of this weekend.

In other news, I'm terribly confused over something. Ah.

Cope

Today I've relinquished my role as the CIP coordinator. Yup, that's right. I had a good talk with my direct boss, HOD Humanities, and then HOD Pupil Welfare.

I told them I couldn't cope, and they perfectly understand. I told them I want to focus on being a good form teacher, focus on teaching well, and focus on NE and YOG, and not forgetting about NCC. It's enough. I have so many piles of marking too.

I will work hard.

Dinner with mum

Well dinner with mum was great.

We talked about many things. Relationships, work (she's a chinese teacher) etc.

It's been a longggggggggg time since I sat down and had dinner with her. CNY reunion dinner excluded.

=)

Dinner tonight

I'm bringing my mum out for dinner. =s

It's gonna be quite awkward I feel, but I've decided it's time to do something, and I do have stuff to tell her.

As I'm typing this in the office, it's raining.

Emo SIAHL!

Haha, just now 3 of my students told me that 'siah' isn't something pleasant? I'm not sure.

Maybe I'll say EMO SEY!

Argh whatever lah hahaha. Back to work.

Of hair cut and a tan

Today it seems as if everyone is intrigued by a simple hair cut, and how much darker I've become?

Simple: Played soccer. I did put on sun block, but it was just too hot. I already mentioned it.

Hair cut: As short as I can go lor. Saves money. $10 a haircut so expensive. Some of you don't think it's nice. It's ok. I myself don't think it's nice. But it doesn't matter haha. I'm not really into hair.

Cluster games

Saturday morning was fun fun west, which means all the schools in the west cluster came together to compete in a series of games.

Our cluster won! Which means all the schools in the cluster each won a NINTENDO WII SET WAHHAHAHA!!!!

YES YES YES!

Poor people like me who cannot afford to buy wii, will finally get to play, somehow.

Today's soccer match. Won 5-4. Scored 1.

Wooo getting darker every week. Too dark is no good, but it's better than too fair.
