Thermometers

Bring your thermometer on

WEDNESDAY 29TH APRIL 2009.

There will be a temperature check. I believe it's just to safeguard ourselves, what with the number of deaths from the swine flu recently.

An announcement will be made tomorrow morning.

No good no good!

Just busy.

Not gonna update much.

Meanwhile, you shouldn't be online much too yah. Study hard for mid year! =D

Marking marking marking arghghgh.

But it's ok! Time for us to really step up many gears, and push ourselves past the exams, before we play!

You do work! I mark your work! GO GO GO!

Liverpool 4-4 Arsenal

Best result a Man United fan could have asked for.

Although I must say Arsenal is really bad at keeping a lead, having led 3 times in the game, at 1-0, 3-2, 4-3! They scored at the 90th minute! Only to concede at the 92nd minute! ARgh!

Anyway Arshavin's finishing, wow. Top class. After 90 minutes and a hat trick, he still had the desire and pace to match Walcott's breakaway, totally left Arbeloa for dead, and his sweetly struck shot with his left foot - no chance for Reina!

Anyway, to conclude,

Wonderful result!
Haha at all the Liverpool fans for dropping 2 points!
Haha at Arsenal for almost winning the game but didn't!

Sigh

I don't feel so well. Ran a light fever in the morning. Thankfully it's a 'test' day, as most of my classes are doing work, which means I talk less.

Things which I want them to end, don't end.
Things which I want them to start don't start.

What is this man.

Released May 1993. One of the definitive songs of my Primary/ Secondary school days.
I like people who appreciate 优客李林.

优客乐乐。=D

不舒服, 但心里却开心。

Nobody but you - Wonder Girls

I actually love the ENGLISH version as well.

IFD

Well International Friendship Day is in about another hour or so.

17 April 2009 =D

Remember to support the bazaar at the canteen!

The assemblies are finally over. Another thing off my chest. So happy and relieved the assemblies went by without many hiccups.

Was so happy today that it was over. After the assembly had a quick reflection with the teachers on what went well, what went wrong etc etc, and then I went back to the office to settle emails and outstanding stuff.

At 4.30pm I went to play basketball with the Sec 3 bballers.

Played till 630pm.

Super tired lah!!!!!

Very fun. Really fun. I didn't really shoot much because I need to warm up. As you all know my wrists are kinda 'spoilt' so I need some time to get the 'feel' of the ball and strength estimation every time I play bball. Ah well, I was happy grabbing all the rebounds. =D

Damn fun lah! Can't wait to do it again!

IFD

This week's assembly programme,

we'll be commemorating International Friendship Day (17 April). Riding on the YOG wave, we'll showcase 3 classes each at each respective assembly.

Will be on stage! Do continue to give me your fullest attention! =D

Today at SS

At my beloved form class:

When discussing about one of the principles of governance "Work for reward, reward for work", I tried to elicit what kinda society we are in.

Mr Ng: Yes! Work for reward, reward for work! Singapore is a what type of society? Starts with the letter... *interrupted*

Student: Pet society!!!!

Mr Ng: Obviously some of you facebook too much......................

For the record, it's meritocratic society lah!
Singapore is based on meritocracy.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Family celebrated my birthday earlier. Bought this fruity cake from polar puffs. My mum sang the song and I could see she was controlling her emotions. =/
Well,
27 years ago on a fateful morning on 11th April 1982 (easter sunday), I was born at the old KK hospital.
Been a bumpy ride. Wouldn't say that I really enjoyed my childhood, but I grew up healthy, and I'm safe now, and in that I should be thankful.
It's a new chapter. I'm gonna work so hard.
Argh 27 feels so old! Where did all the years go?!?!

Just another day

Thanks for the well-wishes through the blog, facebook and smses. =)

It's time to go for a run.

Just another day~

Nephew's big day

My nephew turned 1 year old!

The gathering was very boring though. All my brother's friends (as well my sister-in-law's friends) brought their kids along so it was like a function room full of many kids running around, chasing after balloons, shaking toys that made a lot of noise, wearing shoes which made squeeky sounds etc etc. And every single adult there was talking about children - the latest diapers on offer and stuff like that.

I did try to occupy myself by playing with whatever kids that roamed my way.

Kids are such miracles aren't they? =)

25 more hours

to my birthday!

On a serious note,

to the people who are constantly chatting on my tagboard, please stop.

"Shoutbox limit of 60 posts per hour reached."

Please know the limits lah. I don't mind a couple of tags, but if you're using it to chat, it becomes very inconvenient for me to read other people's tags and so on. I hope you understand. =)

I'm finally home after a long day!

YOG meeting at Republic Poly.
NCC 57th Officer Cadet Parade.

A little past 3am.

Woo I happen to wake just in time for champions league football: Man Utd vs Porto.

Chances are I'll probably fall asleep before full time.

Been another busy, hectic few days. Rest assured that I've read ALL the tags (including the very childish spreading of rumours), but I'll now choose to reply selectively.

Yesterday (as in Tuesday, because it's now Wednesday morning) I did have a presentation for the Key Personnel (P, VPs, HODs in the school). I presented on NE and we had a Q & A. In total it was about 25minutes. It went pretty smoothly. P and VPs asked some questions but I thought I handled them very well. =D

After that I went to the YOG lunchtime programme.

I have to say SORRY to my beloved class of 3-2 because I promised them I'd do up the script (which in the first place should be done up by you guys in the first place! But nevertheless I promised and I didn't deliver, so it's my fault), but I was so caught up with things and it was another mad rushing day so I really didn't have the time. Good job Sufiyan, Rozita on the presentation and Nadia on the clicking~! =D And many thanks to the people of 3-2 who came down to support your classmates. You know who you are. =)

3-6 you all were very noisy lah. =/ It's good you all came down to support, but you guys were noisy even when your own class was presenting. That's not cool man.

3-3 nice to see you all. Mongolia is not Magnolia!

3-4 wah so pro come and check out the competition today when you guys are not presenting!

Busy busy week. Can't wait for the long weekend!

3 more days to my birthday. Gosh getting old.

My world collapsed.

Ok no maybe it's not that bad.

But moody.

I promise myself to not be moody in class. =)

I'll work hard!

4 days to my birthday!

Awards Day

Well, it's over!

Good job everyone in the parade! I'm proud of all of you, holding well, standing smart. =D

The ceremony in the hall:
Thanks everyone for cheering and clapping when my name was announced. Appreciate it. =)
I shook the P's hand and she said "Wow you're really popular!"

A popular teacher might not be a good teacher, but still, it never hurts to be popular. I rather be popular than be hated, or be unknown. Then again, I'm not saying that I AM popular. I just have certain groups of awesome students. =) I will improve to be a better teacher.

NCC:
Possibly the swan song of the Sec 4s and 5s. The EMO in me has not been activated yet, but I'll definitely feel it when the weeks pass.

Just now, some of them came over and asked me if I know what's happening next Saturday. I said nothing. They said it's the 11th April! I said yah my birthday! Wow they actually remember! Eh hello can you all go and remember more important things! My birthdate is not tested in the N and O levels ok!

I'm touched. =) I love teaching.

Why so serious?

Latest addition to my work desk. It's a little too big =/ so I'm trying to think of how to fit it in. Right now it's on the floor directly behind me (It's covering the cupboard behind my seat.)

The Dark Knight was a great movie alright.
